Louis shares the words, “life of the mind” in relationship to the importance of education and of cultivating a healthy mind. He was raised in a good old-fashioned Italian family where his parents instilled in their children, self-reliance, a passion for education, respect for the dignity of the individual, the value of a solid work ethic and a deep and abiding Catholic faith. It was upon this foundation that Lou made his way through parochial grammar school, Loyola High School, Santa Clara University, the University of Southern California School of Law, and Harvard University. He and his wife Jane share these values and raised their three daughters to embrace the legacy. They are devoted to each other and to sharing their wisdom with a family charity, L. A. Music and Arts School, Mount St. Mary’s, Santa Clara, Paulist Productions and their parish, St. Paul the Apostle.
